Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time was released on May 21, 2025for PlayStation 5/4, Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam), and Nintendo Switch. Pre-order customers of the Deluxe Edition were able to play 3 days earlier. On June 5, 2025—the release day of the new console—the Switch 2 edition of the game was released. The game is a role-playing game with life simulation elements and offers both a single-player mode and an online co-op mode for up to 4 players. It was developed and published by Level-5. It is the direct sequel to the cult 3DS game Fantasy Life.

In terms of content, the game stays true to the proven mix of quests, collecting, combat, and crafting, but introduces numerous innovations: the biggest difference from its predecessor is the time travel system, which allows players to switch between the past, the present, and an open world called GinormosiaIsland management has also been greatly expanded: players can build their own town, decorate it, and populate it with NPCs. You can create your own character and level them up to level 100.

Treasure Grove

A central element of the story is the Treasure Grove, a magical tree whose secret is closely tied to time travel and the fate of the island. Treasure Groves are essentially randomly generated dungeons, featuring a boss at the end and possibly special/unique rooms along the way. They can be conquered solo or in multiplayer with friends or strangers.
